Dana Brooks joined CCWTN in April of 2018. She brings over 20 years of combined corporate and nonprofit experience to the team. Dana began her homeless-specific roles on the direct service side as the Fiscal Administrator for the STAY 1 and STAY 2 Permanent Supportive Housing Programs. In 2015, she transitioned to the lead Continuum of Care side, serving as CABHI Grant Coordinator. She quickly moved into the role of Continuum of Care Planning Director one year later. She spearheaded the implementation of our Continuum's Homeless Coordinated Entry system, which now identifies, prioritizes and assigns permanent housing units to hundreds of people experiencing homelessness in Memphis and Shelby County. Dana was responsible for year round planning, support and technical assistance, and secured $6.7 million in HUD funding through our yearly Collaborative Application. Originally from Memphis, Dana graduated from the University of Kansas. She lived in Chicago for 8 years, then onto Minneapolis for 3 years, and back to Memphis in 2009 to carry out her passion of serving others.
