Leigh Ann Roman joined the Catholic Charities team in February, 2018, to lead the communication and development efforts of the agency. She has more than eight years of experience in non-profit communications, including several communications roles at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Leigh Ann is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and more than a decade as a professional journalist, including work as a staff reporter for The Tennessean in Nashville and the Memphis Business Journal. She is a current columnist for Faith West Tennessee.
A Kentucky native, Leigh Ann is a Memphian by choice and is happy to serve the community through the work of Catholic Charities of West Tennessee. She and her husband, Erwin, live in East Memphis with their two teen-agers and two big dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks). They are parishioners at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In her spare time, Leigh Ann enjoys running, reading and writing.
